We are nature - loving people. In an effort to rediscover our very own roots we found a little corner of paradise deep in the heart of the National Park of the Monti Sibillini. Here the sky is indigo blue and the air is clean and scented by wildflowers. This is a place where chaotic city life is only a distant memory.

L' Antico Borghetto was created with the desire to share this wonderful experience with all of you. L'Antico Borghetto was originally an ancient farmhouse from the 1600s and was completely restored into graceful vacation residences of various dimensions, and elegantly furnished in order to offer comfortable and refined hospitality. The garden now in front of the present residences was used as a threshing floor (for grinding wheat), as early as the 1600s. This location was an important meeting place for the rural community of the Pie' di Ripa hamlet (750m-2460ft) at about 5 minutes by automobile from piazza S. Benedetto in Norcia.

Our ample terraces open toward green and lush gardens with areas designated for relaxation and recreation.

A relaxing stay with us could also be the perfect occasion to enjoy many different activities such as; nature walks into the surrounding forests, orchards, and pastures where precious local flora and fauna are found in abundance (squirrels, golden eagles, wolves, porcupines, buzzards, badgers), trips to the most beautiful areas of the National Park of the Monti Sibillini (Grotte della Sibilla, Lago di Pilato, Castelluccio etc.). Many different sports can be practiced (rafting in the Corno River, paragliding, hang-gliding, fishing in the Nera River, horseback riding etc.), winter sports at the renowned Forche Canapine ski resort (2200m-7216ft), and site- seeing at the numerous historic and artistic centers of ancient Umbria (Spoleto, Spello, Assisi, Cascia, etc.).

At a distance of 20 minutes is Acquasanta, an ancient natural bathing center. In fact, the area was famous even back in Roman times for its sulfuric waters and at only 45 minutes by automobile is the lively beach of San Benedetto del Tronto.
